The Royal Throne Room
The Royal Throne Room
North Carolina University is committed to developing the spiritual lives of its students. Our Dean of the Chapel, Pastor James Freeman, along with the Assistant Deans of the Chapel (Pastors Kenneth Leary and Antron Rice) are devoted spiritual leaders who have designed programs to help students grow spiritually and to develop a deep sense of community. The Royal Throne Room is a virtual place where all students will gather to grow, learn, develop, and thrive. You will be refreshed and loved. You will experience spiritual wellness and refreshing.
The Royal Throne Room awaits your presence.
The Royal Throne Room and Campus Activities
Each year, students will be invited to campus for various community-building events. During these times, you will experience the power of The Royal Throne Room and NCU’s extended community on a whole new level. Three times a year, the NCU family will spend a week together. These weeks are called Intention Weeks because we will be intentional about our wholeness/wellness and our purpose. If a student absolutely cannot make a week at the home campus, provisions will be made to do the Intention Week in the student’s community. A fee will apply. Fees will also apply for Intension Weeks at the home campus. These fees are not included in NCU’s flat rates because the costs for various Intention Week activities will vary.
The Royal Court
The first and most honored royal member of North Carolina University is its president, Dr. Stephanie Freeman. She is the NCU royal member–our esteemed queen. NCU’s king is its Vice President and Dean of the Chapel, Pastor James Freeman. Pastor and Dr. Freeman both believe that when honor is given where honor is earned, it brings blessings to the one who gives the honor. Our founders have poured their hearts, souls, and resources into this institution, its people, and the community so that your lives will be filled with blessings (empowerment to succeed and thrive).
In addition to our President and Dean of the Chapel, other members of the Royal Court will include the following:
NCU’s Homecoming Queen—selected by students and a committee
